New bellydancing outfit! I made both the choli and the coinbelt. The choli is stretchy knit cotton, with cotton bias tape for ties at the back. The pattern I made by tracing a halter-top, a t-shirt, and a sports bra, and then super-imposing them and making a composite. The sleeves were pure trial and error. Also, I just realized that the pictures don't show this very well, but the sleeves allow complete range of motion. (^_^) I wouldn't dance in anyhing that didn't.
The coinbelt is made from cotton fabric, glass beads, silver-coloured brass coins that I got off of ebay, and some pieces of an old belt I got at a yard sale more than ten years ago.
That is so pretty! O_O I want one now XD but I need to focus on my AMA cosplay anyway, so that is for another time XD I still need to learn how to make things like you do. That entire outfit is like, wow.
You actually have a better bodyshape than I do for bellydancing. I'm a bit scrawny for it. (T_T) *eats a sandwich* Really though, dancing is *very* good for the abs.
Sadly I won't be able to make it to AMA, but I do plan to wear this at Balticon.

XD I should really take it up then. Meh, I'd go to Balticon, but I probably BARELY have the money to go to ONE con this year :/ makes me sad. And AMA is my con of the year, always.

Thank you! And I totally advise making your own outfit. I was expecting it to be *much* harder than it actually was. It took me a long time, but that's only because I sewed everything by hand. *fingers fall off*

yea lol. the thing about my outfit is i already have an awesome skirt that i wanted to use but there isn't anything i've seen to match it. so i'm making my own hip scarf and top as well as other body decorations like a fringe necklace and stuff. gonna be lotsa fun!
Yeah, the fabric is pretty stretchy, the the sleeves are much roomier than they look, so I can flail my rms about every which way with no problems at ll. (^_^)
